After the hardened steel ball is quenched by induction surface, the surface hardness is often 2~3 units higher than that of ordinary quenching; the wear resistance of the workpiece after induction hardening is higher than that of ordinary quenching. This is mainly due to the combination of hardened martensite grains, high carbide dispersion, high hardness, and high compressive stress on the surface.
